History

In 2014, the foundation for RYDER was laid with the establishment of AgileTek Engineering Limited, a group company of Tekmar Energy Limited. AgileTek was born out of Tekmar’s commitment to advancing subsea engineering analysis, heralding a new era of innovation and expertise in the offshore energy sector. As AgileTek Engineering continued to push the boundaries of subsea engineering, Tekmar Group plc made its mark on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market in 2018, signalling a pivotal moment in our journey of expansion and development.

In 2019, the RYDER story truly began to take shape with the acquisition of Ryder Geotechnical Limited. This strategic move brought geotechnical expertise into the fold, enhancing our capabilities and broadening our project visibility in high-profile subsea ventures. Subsequently, Tekmar Group further solidified its position in the industry with the acquisition of Pipeshield International Limited, expanding our technology offerings to include bespoke concrete protection and stabilisation solutions for offshore wind and oil and gas projects.

The convergence of AgileTek Engineering and Ryder Geotechnical in May 2024 marked the culmination of our journey thus far, as RYDER emerged as an undeniable and unified force in offshore energy consultancy. With a rich history of innovation, expertise, and strategic growth, RYDER is poised to lead the way in shaping the future of offshore energy, driving sustainable solutions and impactful change in the industry.
